I am a Ph.D. candidate at Department of Sociology at Texas A&M University. My areas of interest include sociology of organizations / organization and management theory, political and economic sociology, and entrepreneurship. My dissertation examines securitization of the banking industry in the U.S. before the Great Recession.
I am serving as Graduate Assistant to the Director of Education Outreach, Marketing and Communication at the Education Leadership Research Center and the Center for Research & Development in Dual Language & Literacy Acquisition at College of Education and Human Development of Texas A&M University.
Before that, I taught at Department of Sociology as instructor of record. Courses taught include: Advanced Methods of Social Research, Introduction to Sociology, and Political Sociology. I also served as Research Assistant at Texas Research Data Center.
I was born and raised in Suzhou, China. I majored in mathematical statistics and sociology at Peking University from 2006 to 2010. I earned a Master of Arts in sociology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2011. I finished a Graduate Certificate in Business from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University in 2014.
I live in College Station, Texas and hold an F-1 visa in the United States.
